Hi all,
I would like to build a figure in Matlab using different symbols for the
directions of the principal stresses. I want to plot only the principal
normal stress and the minimum normal stress.
I'm using Comsol 4.3a in windows.
When I export the data, for example solid.sp1R, which is the Principal
stress direction 1, R component. I would like to know what the data
represent: an angle? in rad or degrees? or something else?
I was also wondering (sorry I'm not an expert in that topic) when I plot
(in Comsol, Principal Stress Surface1) the principal values
"solid.sp1", the direction of this principal value is solid.sp1R? or do I
need to calculate its orientation with the different Principal
directions (solid.sp1R, solid.sp1PHI and solid.sp1Z)?
Thank you for your help,
Nicolas
