[COMSOL_Users] Bending Loss of Photonic Crystal Fiber

Hi
I need to obtain the bending loss of a photonic crystal fiber, is it possible using comsol for this problem or not?
And if it is, I shuld comsol in 2D or 3D?

Please help me about this.
I am a new comsol user. If you can please send to me some usefull paper.

Hi Sam K,

I suggest you take a look at this paper from J. Fini:
http://www.opticsinfobase.org/ol/abstract.cfm?uri=ol-32-12-1632

and the related references. Using an equivalent refractive index profile
(of a bent fiber), it should be possible to model the 2D cross-section of a
PCF in COMSOL and model its behavior with a fiber bend.
